Get six bottles of wine for free

The Bright Cellars offer on Swagbucks is legit. You sign up, they send you six bottles of wine for a total of $53.66 charged to your card (I think that includes state tax, so it may vary), six bottles of wine show up, and then you get 5000 Swagbucks, which you can redeem for about $50-$56 in Amazon or Visa gift cards (depending when you redeem them, what swag ups you have, and so forth).

Compared to the last free wine deal they had, this one gets you six bottles instead of four, but the labels aren't as interesting (hey, I choose my wine largely by if the label is cool) and you don't get to choose the individual wines, or at least I couldn't figure out how. They have you take quizzes and then match you with six bottles they think you'll like. The only customization options I could find were to select that you flat-out don't want chardonnay or pinot noir or whatever. Oh well, it's free wine. I highly recommend doing this. Even if you aren't really a wine person, you'll have bottles of wine to take when you go somewhere for dinner or whatever.

This is a subscription service like most of these, so be sure to put it on your calendar to cancel. The Swagbucks are pending for a month, so I went onto Bright Cellars and selected "skip my next shipment." and then I will cancel once I get the Swagbucks.

Here is the screenshot of the wines it gave me, and how the pricing is supposed to work out. If it's charging you much more, you did something wrong. Also, a photo of the wines. I haven't unpacked it yet, because we're doing some home repairs and our kitchen is taken apart right now. But I assume it's the same thing in the box that the order shows.

This thing about the corkscrew actually made me laugh out loud. What can I say? I'm kind of a 12-year-old boy.

Free wine is back on Swagbucks

The Winc offer is back, and it's free/beyond free this time. Pay $32 for four bottles of wine with free shipping, then get 3200 Swagbucks ($36.37 in Amazon gift cards if you redeem in batches of 2200 Swagbucks). It's an easy way to have some snazzy wine on hand for when you inevitably get invited to holiday things and have nothing to take. I found it under Featured Ways to Earn.

And obviously, if you don't have Swagbucks yet, use my referral thingy, then refer all your friends, because we all know us broke folks love pyramid schemes. Thanks to the people who have signed up under mine recently. One of you needs to start actually using the account though so we can both get some gift cards!

The free wine and the free $25 are back up on Swagbucks

The wine offer is back, and it looks like it's not quite free this time, as you get 2000 Swagbucks for the first order and 2000 for the second order a month later. Still, you get around $45 in Swagbucks (if you buy $25 gift cards for 2200 bucks) for buying eight bottles of wine for $64, so it ends up being $19 for eight bottles. That's cheaper than Three-Buck Chuck, and it comes in pretty bottles that are appropriate for giving people or opening with friends over.

The Fingerhut deal looks exactly the same as the one I did, which doesn't require you to buy anything to get the 2500 Swagbucks.

My free wine is here!

Does all this wine make me look like an adult?
The free wine showed up today. It took a week to get here from California with no shipping fee, so not bad at all. Oh, plus it was free; it could take a damn year to get here and that would be fine with me.

It comes via FedEx ground, and it's in a sturdy box with a convenient carrying handle. Being me, the first thing I thought was that this will be great for shipping fragile stuff I sell on eBay. It also occurred to me to sell the wine on eBay. But I digress.

For now, the wine is hanging out in my cabinet, making people think I'm the sort of person who owns wine that didn't come from Trader Joe's. Except that anyone who comes to my house clearly would know that that's not the case, and it must have been free or a gift or something. Once this wine has done its job of making me more and more classy and refined just just by existing in my living space, I probably will use the stash to have something nice to take to friends' houses and whatnot. If any of my friends are reading this, rest assured that the wine I will bring over to your house will be custom-selected for you and your event, and any similarity to the free wine is entirely coincidental.

They spelled wine wrong
I cancelled the Club W membership once the wine arrived. It was super easy to do. You can even do it over the text chat feature on the website without having to use the phone. Of course there was a tiny bit of pressure to keep the service, but the gentleman I spoke with (Ameer) was understanding and professional.

BTW, the free wine offer is still up on Swagbucks for anyone who hasn't ordered theirs yet. At the risk of sounding gimmicky, go order yours now, because it probably won't be up for long.

EDIT: FYI, the wine deal is now under "featured ways to earn" as of Wednesday

Four bottles of wine for negative three bucks

There's an offer on Swagbucks right now where if you click through and buy four bottles of wine for $32 (four $13 bottles, $20 discount applied, free shipping applied), you get 3200 Swagbucks. You can redeem 2200 Swagbucks for $25 in Amazon gift cards and 1000 Swagbucks for $10 in Amazon gift cards, which means you pay $32 for four bottles of not-cheap wine and $35 in Amazon gift cards.

The wine site is a subscription service that wants you to buy wine every month, but the fine print says there is no obligation or penalty for cancelling right after you place the first order or skipping your purchase every month.

Go to the front page of Swagbucks and the offer will be right there. Or if you don't see it, look under the "Discover" tab. The offer looks like this:

And of course, if you don't have Swagbucks yet, sign up using my link, and I'll get some Swagbucks from your free wine adventures too.
